At 3:34pm they announced the official birth of Benjamin Bryan Nisenfeld. Daddy was with him the whole time he was washed, weighed and measured. 19&1/2 inches / 6lbs 15oz. About a half hour later, I joined them in the recovery room for our snuggle time. Ben was beautiful. His head was perfectly round and full of fluffy dark hair that swirled in every direction. His skin was soft pink and smooth. Fingers and toes just like his father… pretty much everything else just like his father too. Plump lips and distinctive nose. There is no doubt that he is a Nisenfeld. He felt so tiny and hot. He was all curled up into a ball (apparently a breach baby trait). Professional photographers visit us in the hospital and of course we have to indulge.
